CF0672 | London or Glasgow | up to £40k PR Mat Cover We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Senior PRO to help run a busy in-house press office in the Financial Services sector. Based in either London or Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly collaborative, supportive team in either city on a year-long contract. Your focus would be on pensions and investment so a background in b2b financial services is key. You would be part of a fully integrated marketing team working closely with digital, social media, marketing and design experts. You should have a real passion for and experience of communications, media and PR. You will have the chance to learn from a best in business senior leadership team, as well has being given the opportunity to take on responsibility and contribute. You will benefit from the flexibility of mixing home working and being in the office with a fully hybrid working approach. The Role: In addition to FS, particularly in pensions or personal finance, our clients is looking for some consultancy background and strong relationships with media contacts in the relevant media. You’ll have the ability to look at and simplify complex information, recognise news hooks and develop engaging content. Experience of responding to media enquiries, an interest in communicating through social media channels and in the regulatory and political landscape would also be beneficial. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver fully integrated communications Media and b2b FS influencer relations: leveraging existing relationships and cultivating new contacts within the media and amongst social media influencers Maintaining a keen understanding of media trends and topical commentary Drafting commentary, press releases, social media posts, articles and blogs Helping to manage the online media centre Managing spokespeople, including assisting with media training, and briefing ahead of interviews Skills: Proven track record developing PR ideas and executing successful communication campaigns Experience and knowledge of financial services Strong writing skills – experience of drafting press releases and traditional/social media commentary An understanding of social media campaigns Creative thinking and good people management experience Able to quickly digest complex matters, identify news hooks and present engaging content in a clear and concise way Strong relationships with relevant media Experienced and confident at pitching stories to all types of media An understanding of the political and regulatory landscape would be beneficial A passionate ‘can-do’ attitude and ability to work under own initiative Someone who is confident and takes a collaborative approach; able to manage a diverse range of internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple projects and tasks A clear and strong verbal communicator and team player If you’re keen to learn more about this opportunity and available to start early March please send your details through to cvscarterferris.co.uk or call Anne or Tanya 020 3397 7543 / 07929 008295
