Care Co-Ordinator for Newport
Location: Cardiff Office
Salary: £24,000
Start Date: Immediate after notice period
Hours per week: 42.5 hours p/w with a 30 minute lunch or flexible to meet the needs of the Business
Hours: Week 1 – 7am – 3.30pm & Week 2 - 9.30am – 6pm (Monday – Friday)

Right at Home (Cardiff & Newport) provide premium quality Home Care to adults with Physical and Learning Disabilities and the Elderly. We are actively recruiting an ambitious, driven, and caring Care Co-ordinator in Newport for our growing Office in (Cardiff & Newport), to manage and develop the business and ensure compliance at all times.
As a Care Co-ordinator in Newport, you will play an integral part in managing the daily communications of our site. You must be extremely personable as you will be liaising with the entire team to ensure all our valued Clients' needs are met. This role is extremely fast-paced and requires someone truly dedicated and able to remain positive and professional when working under pressure.
Job Description
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Be accountable to the Registered Manager for the smooth running of day-to-day Client/CareGiver communication.
2. Ensure outstanding compliance across the business and support the business in achieving a minimum of “Good” in CIW inspections, with a focus on achieving “Outstanding” results.
3. Carry out scheduling efficiently, enabling CareGivers to spend allocated care time with each Client and allow for travel time.
4. Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and approved practices; promote the aims of the business.
5. Answer the telephone promptly and professionally, dealing with any enquiries or queries.
6. Ensure the provision of high-quality care services to vulnerable people living in their own home.
7. Record all new CareGivers and Clients on the system as soon as they are received.
8. Report weekly KPI’s to the Registered Manager and Owner.
9. Identify and match the most suitable CareGivers for each package.
10. Produce consistent, fortnightly rosters and provide CareGiver and Clients with rotas in a timely manner.
11. Ensure all CareGivers submit their timesheets weekly, accurately completed, and match these to what is on the system.
12. Plan ahead to cover holidays, training, and planned absences.
13. Maintain accurate records on the system of all communications and make changes to Clients and CareGiver files.
14. Participate in on-call duties if required and deliver hands-on care when necessary.
15. Carry out any ad hoc duties given by the Senior Management Team to suit the needs of the business.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a customer service setting, building up relationships – Essential.
* Use of a scheduling / HR / recording system – Desirable.
* Relevant qualification, such as Business Studies or Social Care – Desirable.
* Previous Domiciliary Care experience - Essential.
* Must be a car owner, with business insurance for work activities during the working day/week.

* Desire to make a real difference and improve an already well-established business.
* Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Good computer skills including proficient use of MS Office, the ability to produce reports, and good computer systems knowledge.
* Self-motivated and flexible, with a willingness to participate in an on-call system for out-of-office hours.
* Extremely well organized, with excellent planning and prioritizing ability and high attention to detail.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships.
* Strong administration skills and ability to manage multiple workloads.
* Understand and participate in care calls during times of high annual leave, sickness absence, and any emergency situations that might arise.
