Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Location: Suffolk, RAF Lakenheath (IP27 9PP), RAF Milden Hall (IP28 8NF) and RAF Feltwell (IP26 4HL) Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:30AM-4:30PM) Here at VIVO we are looking for a focused and proactive Water Treatment Engineer to undertake chemical dosing and water sampling at RAF Lakenheath, Feltwell and Mildenhall. With all your tasks scheduled by tablet, you will be travelling to jobs in your provided work van to clean, monitor and disinfect water systems across the site. You will be undertaking planned preventative maintenance of water systems, including creating and handling comprehensive documentation ensuring health and safety across the sites. As part of a team of 4, you will be undertaking tasks such as; chemical dosing, working on close looped water systems, working on heating systems, water sampling and legionella monitoring. What you’ll need to do this role First and foremost, it is essential that you are an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer or plumber, preferably with a recognised trade qualification e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or Heating. You must have experience in working in water treatment and hygiene, ideally being a member of the Water Management Society. It is also desirable that you have a qualification in Legionella Monitoring Awareness, and knowledge of relevant health and safety requires including COSHH and RIDDOR. You will be able to write clearly and have a keen eye for detail within record keeping to ensure we maintain high standards. This role will require you to travel to remote sites and drive a company van therefore it is essential that you hold a clean and valid UK driving licence. You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
