The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) delivered by Newcastle University and Partners as a Public Partnership Coordinator, on a fixed-term basis until 30 September 2028.
Our vision is to support research with a new way of working, supported by a new generation of researchers, developed through a new model, integrating research development, design and delivery in health, social care, and public health.
As Public Partnership Coordinator for the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS), you will work with the NIHR RSS Directors, members of the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team, and methodologists to deliver the PPIE and EDI strategy and related operational activity. You will also support other RSS PPIE activity including working with representatives from other NIHR infrastructure regionally and nationally, in line with the broader “One NIHR” approach.
We are looking for candidates with sound knowledge and experience of project management, as well as extensive experience of public engagement and patient involvement and working with diverse communities.
