This is a home-based role with regular travel to customer sites predominantly in the North West of the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a bright, proactive customer focused field service engineer to provide effective 1st line on-site fault resolution and service requests to our predominantly emergency service customer base within the North West and North Wales region.
You will be expected to work independently in a safe manner on customer sites, communicate well with customers and internal colleagues, and ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly.
The primary focus of the role is to provide an effective response to requests for service, incident, and problem management activities, primarily based on customer sites in the North West and North Wales area.
This is a fast-paced environment, so it is essential that you can manage a changing list of priorities.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
1. IT literate with an IT background for Windows in various forms:
1. Desktop – Windows 10 and 7
2. Server – 2016, 2019
3. WSUS
4. Active Directory
5. SQL (not essential but would be great)
2. Networking – Cisco literate or qualified (not essential but would be great)
3. Willingness to drive as this makes up a large amount of time within the role
4. Able to approach any situation with a logical, methodical manner
5. Previous Field Service experience is ideal but not essential
In addition:
1. Shift pattern comes with a 20% shift allowance on top of the annual salary.
2. On-call is required and arranged around the shift pattern, approximately 1 day in 9 with the 3rd shift pattern being 2 in 9. This repeats every 3 shifts (1 in 9 followed by 1 in 9 followed by 2 in 9).
3. Driving license is essential.
