Nursery Nurse
Our Client is looking to employ a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner for their quality Nursery based near Redditch, Worcestershire. The successful Nursery Nurse must be passionate and experienced in showing initiative and creativity to foster an environment that encourages children's all-round development and where high standards of care are provided at all times.
Key Responsibilities
1. Be a ‘Key-person' to children, having responsibility for overall child's welfare and parent partnerships.
2. Ensure the Welfare and Safeguarding procedures are followed along with all other company policies and procedures.
3. Observe each child's progress, reporting on achievements and maintain records of day-to-day activities and developments.
4. Provide educational, fun activities for all children in your care.
5. Keep childcare software updated for parents, providing photographic evidence of their child's day as well as keeping them informed of daily food, nappies, and sleep times.
6. Provide a child-friendly, child-led environment, a place children and parents feel safe and secure.
7. All observations must be factual, informative, and professionally written for parents logging into the software.
8. Supervise the children at play (indoors and outdoors) ensuring that in the outdoor areas, large equipment is a priority.
9. Encourage independence at lunch times and throughout the session, ensuring this is age-appropriate.
10. Deliver the EYFS in activities and experiences in the nursery.
11. Be responsible for planning for your key children and enhancing their development.
12. Develop enabling environments where children can initiate play.
13. Complete all daily health and safety checklists as required by the nursery.
Requirements
1. A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare such as EYE, NVQ, CACHE, or a recognised equivalent.
2. A valid Paediatric level 3 first aid certificate.
3. Current knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, level 3 trained.
4. An enhanced DBS certificate.
5. Experience of working in an Early Years setting.
6. Knowledge and experience of working within a team and implementing the EYFS statutory framework.
