Job summary Cilantro Suite is a 10 bedded, mixed gender inpatient unit for people with eating disorders aged 18 and above. Experience of working in eating disorders would be desirable; however, consideration will be given of those who have a genuine interest in working within this area. The Service user Meal experience is a crucial element of the role and the successful candidate will be expected to support service users during and post mealtimes and will also be responsible for ensuring that the environment is appropriate and that the necessary resources are available. The successful candidates will be highly motivated, have a genuine interest in the development of services and possess excellent communication skills. You will support the Ward Team and fellow professionals in leading the provision of evidence-based quality care for our service users and offer advice and support to their family and carers. Care is provided over a 24-hour period therefore resources must be available throughout this time. The successful candidate will be expected to monitor and order stores as necessary. Main duties of the job To work as a member of the ward team by contributing to the provision of a comfortable and effective stay for patients with an Eating Disorder. To assist Nursing Teams in providing a high standard of Nursing Care. To be responsible for overseeing that the meal-time experience, ensuring that patients food is delivered correctly and portioned as per dietary care plan, that consumables are available to contribute to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. To work alongside the SSL housekeeping and domestic support staff in ensuring the ward environment is fit for purpose.Supporting the ward manager and team with environmental risk assessments, ICPC issues and any other arising issues.
