We are excited to offer an opportunity for the position of Technical Training Coordinator at the Wrexham Plant. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in training, development, or technical roles, looking to take on a new position in shaping the growth and success of our plant teams.
Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Training Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering and coordinating training programs, ensuring they meet business needs and compliance standards. You’ll manage the Skills Matrix and My Learning platform, ensuring they remain up to date and reflect the current competencies required across the plant. Monitoring progress and reporting on performance, benchmarking against other sites to ensure we’re maximizing the potential of these tools.
You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of technical and compliance training, tracking progress, and managing the site’s training budget. Additionally, you will lead assessments, provide feedback to apprentices, and collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure training materials and processes align with best practices. Your role will also extend to supporting apprenticeships and representing the site at external training events.
You will also be responsible for auditing training materials, identifying any gaps in training processes, and working with internal and external resources to ensure all training is aligned with best practices. You’ll also represent the site with external training bodies and at off-site events. Support all modifications or installations that require training plans and ensure that training is delivered as per the project requirements.
Qualifications/Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in coordinating or delivering training, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* A Train the Trainer qualification or equivalent (desirable).
* A CIPD Level 3 in Learning & Development or equivalent (desirable).
* A background in technical or engineering fields is advantageous.
* Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP.
* The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and present to large groups.
