Hours: Part-time 22.2 hours a week, term-time working over 42 weeks per year (will involve working some non- term periods).

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial hairdressing salon and its clientele.
Working with the manager and the team to develop the commercial aspects of the department's facilities, ensuring all students, clients and visitors are dealt with efficiently and service standards are met.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: ? Undertake assessments of hairdressing students & record outcomes.
? Support the lecturer with training and supervision of students, services and clients ? Ensure clients are up to date with required patch tests in accordance with legislation ? Maintain the commercial salon, products and equipment for clients and students.
? To carry out appropriate stock control, rotation, orders and any salon related administration.
? Cover reception duties as required.
? Assist with open events and interview evenings as required.
? Organise promotional activities throughout the year and liaise with the manager and external companies for promotional events.
? To assist in the promotion of product sales for Hair and Beauty retail area and liaise with person ordering the products.
? Be aware of and comply with all College procedures relating to health and safety.
Required Skills and Experience: ? Has a Level 3 NVQ/VRQ Diploma in Hairdressing.
? Can demonstrate excellent hairdressing skills.
? Has proven experience in a salon based environment with a record of maintaining and growing a clientele.
? Has a proactive approach in a commercial setting.
? Has an assessor award or a willingness to achieve one within 6 months of taking up the post.
? Has excellent communication skills.
