As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for a range of duties including first level support to the First Line Manager in managing the team as they carry out their daily tasks by maintaining a consistent presence within the operation.
This position is offered on a 2.00pm - 10.00pm shift pattern (fixed shift) any 5 from 7 days.
Role and responsibilities:
* Allocate resource for designated team and area of control to achieve set KPI’s, targets and quality standards.
* Provide an efficient and professional level of service to all customers to meet agreed delivery schedules and SLA’s.
* Provide adequate induction, training, monitoring and support for designated team.
* Operate WMS and collate data for Departmental reporting.
* On a daily shift basis, direct, monitor and communicate with your team on their performance of their allocated duties to achieve productivity, accuracy, and customer SLA adherence.
* Demonstrate the company values and lead by example.
* You will drive a continuous improvement programme, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and process improvement.
* Adhere to all emergency procedures (disaster recovery, fire, and evacuations etc.).
* Identify training needs and take appropriate action to address these in line with individual and operational requirements.
* Maintain confidentiality and remain in line with GDPR (Data Protection), make notes of all performance-related conversations and provide written reports within critical time scales.
* Embrace the introduction of new procedures and new equipment technology.
* Report potential risks and aid loss prevention (theft or damage).
* Any other duties necessary in line with the department.
