An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist working within Independent Living Services.
About the job
The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking assessments of need and agreeing outcomes with service users and carers. Interventions are likely to include equipment provision and major adaptations. There will also be opportunities to be involved in different projects within the service, including single carer management and reviewing/ identifying people with a potential for reablement.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful candidate must also be able to work to strict deadlines and be extremely flexible. You must be able to work autonomously as well as being able to work as part of a team.
You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, and the ability to problem solve and provide outcome focused interventions.
Minimum Requirements
It is essential that you have experience of working proactively with clients with physical disabilities and/or older people, hold a full valid driving licence and have use of a vehicle with business insurance.
Additional Information
With effect from the 1st April 2021 this post attracts a market supplement of £3000 per annum full time equivalent. This payment is reviewed on a 12 monthly basis.
