We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception Year Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. Duties as a Reception Year Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that supports the holistic development of young children Develop children’s early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills through play-based and interactive learning activities Assess, monitor, and track children’s progress, providing tailored support to ensure every child thrives Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support pupils' well-being and development Foster a love of learning by encouraging curiosity, independence, and social skills Support children’s transition into school life and prepare them for their progression into Key Stage 1 Participate in whole-school initiatives, extracurricular activities, and school events Ideal Reception Year Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) A strong understanding of child development and early years teaching strategies Excellent classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning environment A passion for early education and a commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential as a Reception Year Teacher.
