We're working with a cutting-edge telecom startup in Surrey actively seeking a Principal RF Engineer to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities as a Principal RF Engineer:
1. Design and develop power amplifiers for 4G/5G radio products, considering linearity, efficiency, and thermal performance.
2. Conduct simulations and modeling for PA design stability.
3. Participate in the full life cycle of radio product development.
4. Perform feasibility studies and RF simulations to optimize system performance.
5. Coordinate design reviews to meet requirements.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
7. Test and validate power amplifiers, addressing development issues.
8. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for front-end design.
9. Work closely with manufacturing teams for PA design production transition.
10. Stay updated on 5G and RF power amplifier industry trends.
11. Develop/maintain supplier relationships.
Requirements for a Principal RF Engineer:
12. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related fields.
13. Proven industrial experience in RF power amplifier design, focusing on 4G/5G technologies.
14. In-depth knowledge of RF and microwave circuit design, including PA architectures and topologies.
15. Familiarity with simulation tools (, ADS, AWR) for RF power amplifiers and LNA.
16. Experience with GaN and GaAs technologies.
17. Experience with Doherty amplifier design, DPD, CFR, and radio systems architectures.
18. Experience with PCB layout and design considerations for RF power amplifiers.
19. Experience with testing and characterization of RF power amplifiers.
20. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
