About the Role We are currently seeking an Effluent Technician to join our team at the Scunthorpe site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical engineering, particularly those with NVQ Level 2 in engineering or similar qualifications. As an Effluent Technician, you will be responsible for handling water and sewage treatment tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our plant. This is a fantastic role with comprehensive training provided, offering you the chance to develop your skills in a crucial industry sector. Key Responsibilities Perform lab testing and take water samples to ensure quality and safety standards Monitor and ensure the plant's performance, processing up to 40,000 cubic metres of water per day Conduct proactive mechanical maintenance, including repairing pumps and other machinery Perform general checks of the plant to ensure optimal operation and resolve any issues About You We are looking for someone with a keen interest in mechanical engineering, ideally someone who has just completed their NVQ Level 2 in engineering or a similar qualification. Experience in a hands-on mechanical role, such as working with machinery or performing basic repairs, is beneficial. However, this is a fairly entry-level role, and we provide full training to help you succeed. If you are an individual with a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well independently, this could be a perfect fit for you.
