Role: Trainee Site Manager

About the role
Ready to head into the world of work? A Traineeship could be your ideal start to the next phase of your career. You’ll learn about the job, on the job, whilst we support you through further studies, so you’ll gain qualifications as well as work experience and skills.
As a Trainee Site Manager you will be responsible for:
1. Produce short-term weekly programmes for their section and subordinates’ section in line with overall contract programme requirements
2. Ensure accurate daily records (diaries, labour and material returns) are kept
3. Liaise with team members on a daily basis
4. Encourage and develop others to succeed in their roles
5. Produce record sheets/change notes or similar to assist Site Manager/Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor
6. Ensure materials, plant, and equipment is ordered and controlled in line with the project specific prelims and bills of quantities
7. Monitor the requirements of the Group’s Health and Safety procedures and maintain safety records for all work activities under their control
8. Correct interpretation of drawing information to enable setting out to be done accurately
What you'll need
9. Prepared to work towards HND/HNC
10. Nat 4/5/GCSE equivilent in Maths and English required
11. Complimentary relevant experience
12. Ability to work under pressure
13. Methodical approach
14. Numerate
15. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
16. Good written and verbal communication skills
17. Computer literate
18. Willingness to learn
About you
As a Trainee Site Manager we understand this may be one of your first roles so we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in the construction industry. Experience within this sector would be great however if you can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach with excellent written and verbal communications skills this could be the role for you. We will support you through your Traineeship to develop and progress in your chosen career path.
