SEND Learning Support Assistant
Location: East of England, Essex, Harlow
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £ - £95 Per day
Job Description:
Job Duties:
1. Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a classroom setting
2. Assist teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEND
3. Support students with their learning activities and help them achieve their educational goals
4. Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
5. Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
6. Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
7. Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Education:
8. GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
9. Experience working in a school or educational setting
10. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with SEND
Knowledge and Skills:
11. Understanding of SEND practises and strategies
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
14. Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
15. Additional training in specific areas of SEND support
Working Conditions:
16. Full-time position, working hours may vary
17. Work primarily in a classroom setting
18. Potential interaction with students with challenging behaviours
19. Regular collaboration with teaching staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
