We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Baker. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Head Baker. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with strong leadership skills. Responsibilities Team leading: Leading a team of over 10 staff. Baking operations: direct and oversee the baking and production of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods. Recipe development: develop and create new recipes while ensuring consistency and high-quality standards. Quality control: maintain strict quality standards for all baked goods produced. Inventory management: manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to meet production demands Scheduling: create and maintain baking schedules to ensure all orders are completed on time. Compliance: ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Cost management: monitor expenses and control costs to maximize profitability. Customer service: collaborate with the sales department to address customer feedback and special orders Qualifications Proven experience as a Head Baker or in a similar role within a restaurant or kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques related to baking. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a high-pressure setting. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. A creative mindset with an eye for detail in presentation and flavour combinations. Familiarity with food preparation and production processes is essential. Culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
