Head of Health and Safety

Are you looking to work for one of the UK's leading Principal Contractors? Interested in working with an organisation which has high standards and performance across health and safety?
We're currently recruiting a Head of Health and Safety to lead an operational team, working across a range of residential construction projects. As well as managing a team, this individual will also be regularly visiting sites, engaging with key stakeholders where required. Specifically, this organisation is looking for an individual who can ensure their cutting-edge health and safety program continues to deliver to the highest standard.
Responsibilities for the Head of Health and Safety will include:
* Leading the Health and Safety team ensuring the successful delivery of the strategy on site
* Influencing, engaging and coaching key internal and external stakeholders to drive change
* Conducting major health and safety incident investigations to identify root causes and making recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
* Constantly assessing opportunities for health and safety improvements and sharing best practices across the organisation
The successful Head of Health and Safety candidate will have:
* Proven leadership experience in a similar role ideally within residential construction
* Experience in influencing, engaging and coaching senior management and site-level operations
* A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and ideally Chartership of IOSH
* Experience with delivering health and safety strategy at site level
This position will require an individual who is passionate about health and safety and high performance.
