Junior Electrical Engineer

We are hiring! We are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position location is in Guaynabo, PR. The work schedule could be a Hybrid work opportunity in Puerto Rico or may be based in our Atkins Caribe office.

How will you contribute to the team?
* Performs preliminary electrical engineering design and/or reviews the design and drafting work of junior engineers, designers, or drafters as load flow and short circuit analysis, grounding, and lightning protection system calculations.
* Preparing engineering reports, tender and construction drawings, and documents.
* Developing wiring diagrams, single line and three-line diagrams and schematic diagrams using AutoCAD.
* Assisting with field construction, commissioning, and vendor factory acceptance tests.
* Ability to effectively interact with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
* knowledge of NEC, ANSI and IEEE standards and recommended practices.
* Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
* Prepares cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets and schedules.
* Prepares or oversees the preparation of final plans and reports and submits them for approval.
* Conducts or oversees personnel involved in engineering investigations and planning work.
* May occasionally assist in the management of projects.
What will you contribute?
* B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering; no experience required with a Master's degree.
* Technical writing, computer and communications skills required.
* Microsoft Office and CAD skills required.
* E.I. or EIT desired.
