1st Line Support Engineer - MacOS, Windows Based - Huddersfield (onsite) Salary: £25k - £28k Depending on Experience Our client - national distribution business - are looking for a 1st Line IT Support Engineer to join their Huddersfield office and play a key role in providing technical support to their users across both MacOS and Windows platforms, as well as exciting project work including Cloud migrations. It’s an exciting time to join this well-known brand, as their IT department continue on their journey to the cloud (O365 / Azure) giving you plenty of exposure to modern infrastructure technologies including Azure InTune. The team is headed up by an excellent Head of IT who has a passion for investing and developing IT Engineers. You’ll be mentored, trained and challenged with a clear pathway to 2nd Line Support. Their Huddersfield office which is one of two UK sites and houses their creative design & marketing teams which is primarily an Apple Mac / iOS environment. Along with BAU IT support, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, upgrading and installing Apple / MacOS software and products - so experience supporting Macbooks and iPhone / MDM software is highly advantageous. You’ll also need Windows support experience to 1st line level, as you’ll be working alongside the Senior 2nd Line Support Engineer to help support their additional users within a Microsoft / O365 environment. The role would suit a 1st line IT Support engineer with 1 year commercial experience working on a busy helpdesk / servicedesk, with fantastic customer service skills and a desire to move into an in-house, IT Technician position which includes hands-on IT Support and projects. Skills / Experience required: • Apple & Microsoft Operating System platform - troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades • Apple & Microsoft hardware support - troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades • Microsoft Active Directory (ADDC - User account management) • Microsoft 365 Office (Word, Excel, and Teams), Admin Centre (e.g. Security and Compliance) • Adobe Suite Support • Networking for end-users (eg: patching)
