Purpose of the Job Providing leadership, management, and development of the engineering contract team, ensuring operational commitments are met and the contract is fully compliant with all aspects of the contract including but not limited to QHSE, Compliance, CBRE and H3G policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for the completion of PPM and reactive works at Trafford park, Manchester Datacentre - Provide supervision to site engineers and ensure that contractual commitments are met, Ensuring compliance with all CBRE and H3G policies and procedures. - Ensure contracts are staffed by full competent teams who fully understand the required standards they must adhere to. - Assist the management team to deliver the best-in-class service which is customer focused within all areas of operational activities. - Promoting and maintaining the core RISE values of CBRE. - Acting as the first point of contact and support for the engineering teams, giving leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support where required to deliver best practice, training, assessment, and recognition/reward. - Liaise with CBRE partners for quotations/surveys for remedial and maintenance works. - Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with CBRE H&S procedures, using the SSOW (safe systems of work) where required and action improvements identified during the building and workplace inspections and reviews. - Escalate urgent issues. Respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies consistent with the SLA. - Support critical environment related technical audits as required and directed by line manager. - Control and supervise CBRE Partners when required. - Raise recommendations for improvements through line manager. - Communicate high priority tasks and issues within the CBRE Management team. - The role could involve working across the client's estate if the need arises. - Technical Administration SOP / EOP / MOP & Switching schedules (CWP), Implementation of CRQ's - Site procurement - Finance / Quotes / Small Works & SPOC project Lead - Site Compliance Lead - Internal & External Audits (AGM/QHSE/Legionella/Environmental) & responsible for actioning Fire Risk Assessment, Legionella Risk Assessment, Noise Risk Assessment. - Site Shield Lead - Quantum / CDNA / CCAM / Human Factors / DCS Select - Site Ekkosense Champion - Responsible for continued EkkoSense site optimisation. Accountabilities: - Reporting to the Technical Supervisor. - Working hands on Supervision to assist the teams when and where required. - On call for escalation OOH and on call for local site rotation. - To create an audit ready environment and ensure compliance is met in all areas. - Accountability to the CBRE Functional heads, as appropriate. - Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts. - Line management responsibility for the engineering team and indirectly for relevant sub-contractors. - No Purchase and Ledger Responsibility for the contract. However, should be financially aware and able to produce basic quotations for works. Assisting in CAPEX & OPEX management and forecasting of financial planning. Experience Required: - Understanding of Health and Safety requirements and be able to supervise others on all aspects of day-to-day health and safety. - Must have experience in critical change management process and experience working in a critical environment. - Must have Electrical City & Guilds C&G 2365 Level 3 Electrical Qualification & 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations as a minimum. - Mechanical qualifications or be able to demonstrate good mechanical knowledge. - Team working and experience in customer facing situations, good communicator with a good level; of computer literacy. - Experience in managing sub-contractors, running permit to work system and being accountable for others safety. - Flexible working with the ability to manage own workloads with little supervision. - Good commercial knowledge and knowledge of contract cost control. - Must have a clean driving licence. - Must be able to work flexibly. - Good working knowledge of Data Centres. And experience in supervising a team, from managing shift rotas to approval of holidays/training. - Knowledge of emergency response / standby/ call out activities and protocols. - LVAP / HVAP Desirable Experience Required: - Health and Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH). - First Aid trained.
