We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fostering Social Worker to join our team in Herefordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people by supporting and assessing foster carers to provide safe and nurturing environments.
We offer a competitive rate of £43 per hour, along with weekly expenses of £150.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster carers, ensuring they meet the required standards and possess the necessary skills and qualities to provide high-quality care.
2. Provide ongoing support and guidance to foster carers, conducting regular visits to monitor the well-being and progress of the fostered children.
3. Collaborate with relevant professionals and agencies, including social workers, healthcare providers, and educational institutions, to ensure coordinated support and services for fostered children.
4. Conduct comprehensive reviews and evaluations of foster placements, ensuring that the needs of the children and carers are being met and identifying any areas for improvement.
5. Facilitate training and development opportunities for foster carers, enabling them to enhance their knowledge and skills in providing effective care to children with diverse needs.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, assessments, and interventions in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
7. Qualified Social Worker with relevant certifications and registrations.
8. Extensive experience in fostering, including assessing, supporting, and reviewing foster carers.
