Head of Estates, Sustainability, and Safety
Salary: up to £80,000
Location: Leeds - hybrid working (2 days a week on site, 3 days at home)
We are working with a leading organisation that is seeking a forward-thinking Head of Estates to drive the transformation and modernisation of their estates in alignment with their strategic goals for 2025-2030. This is a pivotal role for someone who excels in estate management, leadership, and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-year estates strategy that aligns with the organisation’s operational and environmental objectives, particularly its 2025-2030 vision.
* Lead the Estates, Facilities, Health & Safety, and Sustainability functions to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, driving innovation and operational excellence.
* Collaborate with executive leadership, regulators, and external partners to integrate the estates strategy with broader organisational goals.
* Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency across the estates team, promoting best practices and modernisation initiatives.
* Manage the estates budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficient solutions while meeting sustainability targets.
* Lead sustainability efforts, particularly in carbon management, and ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements.
* Drive cultural and operational change within the estates team to futureproof the estate and ensure adaptability to technological and operational advancements.

* Extensive experience in senior estates management, with strategic oversight of large, complex property portfolios.
* Proven leadership ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
* A track record of delivering transformative estate projects that align with organisational goals.
* Strong knowledge of property management, sustainability, asset optimisation, and compliance.
* Experience in driving modernisation initiatives to meet future needs.
* Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS or equivalent).
