Class 2 We are looking for a Class 2 driver to work with a leading customer service deliver team to deliver goods to customers’ homes in the North London area for a well-respected retail company based in Enfield. You will work as part of a 2-man crew, you will deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishing, electrical products and furniture, ensuring every delivery is made with a smile and made with the highest level of customer service Hours of work: Pm shift – 6.00-17.30 /10:30-21.30 starts Monday to Saturday Shift pattern: Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday Week 4: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Week 5: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday As a driver you will work 4 days out of 6 (Monday to Saturday) which means you’ll enjoy 3 days off each week to maintain a healthy life/work balance. You will need to work 3 out of 5 Saturdays. A typical day for you: Your typical day will start with completing all daily vehicle checks and checking for defects. After you have safety loaded and checked your route you will then undertake your deliveries and collections for the day with your colleague. Communication with your customers is key within this role, you will call every customer 30 mins before you are due to arrive. Upon arrival you will deliver the goods to a room of their choice and undertake any services that have been booked. This may include: - Installation and disconnection of white goods - Assembly of a flat pack - TV installations You will also then offer to remove the packaging to take away with you. Upon your return to the customer delivery hub, you will complete all end of day checks and debrief ensuring any issues are raised and reported. Pay rate: £16.43-£16.92 to start £17.47-£18 when training completed to become a driver tech / installer. You must: - Be over the age of 18 - Have a valid driving license - A valid class 2 Driving License - Drivers Qualification Card (CPC) - Valid Digi tachograph card Essential experience: - Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicle - Strong verbal communication skills both over the phone and face to face - Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role Desires: - Good local geographical knowledge - Installation and disconnection experience - Tv installations - Be presentable and well mannered Please apply online now
