You'll lead a dedicated group of professionals, guiding them towards achieving departmental goals. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in overseeing daily operations, from monitoring overdue accounts to approving customer credit limits. Your ability to build strong relationships will come into play as you liaise with customers to resolve issues and maintain open lines of communication. Approve customer credit limits and payment terms in consultation with senior management and the finance team. Prepare and present regular reports on the status of outstanding debts, cash flow forecasts, and collection activities. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key customers, ensuring effective communication regarding payment terms, overdue invoices, and disputes. Ensure compliance with company credit policies and financial regulations. Proactively identify areas for improvement within the credit control process and recommend solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, Xero). Knowledge of credit risk management and legal recovery procedures. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Leadership and team management experience. A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., AAT and ACCA) is desirable but not essential.
