The opportunity has arisen to grow and evolve our Physiotherapy service at West Suffolk Foundation Trust, Bury St Edmunds. We have an exciting prospect for a Band 5 Physiotherapy post within the acute trust, community assessment beds, and community rotations for 12 months maternity leave cover. We support physiotherapists seeking to consolidate and develop their clinical skills in a wide range of specialities.
You will benefit from working in a busy NHS Foundation Trust offering rotational experience in the following: Medicine, ITU/Respiratory, Neurology (Stroke), Elective and Trauma Orthopaedics, Community Beds, Paediatrics, Surgery, Adult Community and Out-patients (MSK).
Weekend working, evening clinics and emergency on-call working are integral to these rotations. Some of the rotations require 7 day rostering so you will need to be flexible to support this.
Main duties of the job
This role is suited to new graduates as well as to those who have previous experience or return to practice clinicians as it offers successful candidates the opportunity to build on existing clinical practice in a variety of settings, within well-structured rotational teams.
The Physiotherapy department is part of Integrated Therapy Services and is committed to professional development and evidence based practice. This is demonstrated through regular departmental training, the employment of new initiatives and a constant review and improvement of services. Our excellent appraisal programme demonstrates our commitment to our staff. New graduates will undertake a full staff development induction and preceptorship programme.
