Technical Manager, Liverpool\n\nSalary: £60,000 - £70,000\n\nWe're looking for a Technical Manager to lead food safety, quality, and compliance at a key food manufacturing site. You’ll be a vital part of the senior leadership team and play a fundamental role in ensuring the ongoing success of the business.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nThe site produces a wide range of products and supplies into retail and foodservice channels. Reporting to the Group Head of Technical some of your key responsibilities will include:\n\n * Managing and developing the site’s technical team, with direct reports include Quality Managers, Hygiene Manager, and a Compliance Manager.\n\n * Leading all aspects of food safety, quality, authenticity and legal compliance, collaborating with colleagues across the site to instil a strong food safety & quality culture\n\n * Ensuring compliance with BRCGS and retailers codes of practice, proactively working to remain ‘audit ready’.\n\n * Proactively identifying new and improved ways of working to drive standards and ensure technical KPIs are achieved.\n\n * Preparing for and leading BRC, customer and authority audits and visits.\n\nAbout You:\n\n * Experience of leading and developing technical and quality teams within a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of high-care and thermal processing would be an advantage.\n\n * Strong knowledge and understanding of BRC standards and retailer codes of practice.\n\n * Ideally educated to degree level in Food Science or similar, or equivalent experience, along with HACCP and Food Safey qualifications.\n\n * Strong leadership skills, able to coach, mentor, and motivate a team to develop skills.\n\n * Confident in building strong relationships with customer and colleagues at all levels.\n\nNext Steps:\n\nInterested?
