The Manor Farm Nursery – Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship
The Aspire Training Team are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual as an apprentice to complete their Level 3 Childcare qualification with The Manor Farm Nursery.
The Manor Farm Nursery is a highly experienced establishment with 27 qualified nursery nurses and managers who have over 30 years of childcare experience between them and are mothers themselves. They are focused on improving the facilities in which children have the opportunities to learn with safe contained boundaries on a large plot of farmland and within a purpose-built barn conversion.
The Manor Farm Nursery is all about helping the children develop through play and the great outdoors.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Observing learning and development of the children, planning and implementing suitable activities.
2. Being a key person, with a small number of children allocated to you.
3. Supervising activities including mealtimes, nappy changing, and toileting.
4. Planning activities in line with the EYFS.
Requirements:
1. Level 2 Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this role.
2. You must be able to gain a clear DBS.
3. Having GCSE's A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills are desired but not essential.
4. Understanding of safeguarding is required.
Qualities Required:
1. Great enthusiasm for working with children, a love for the outdoors, good work ethic, and passion for keeping children safe and clean whilst having fun.
2. Good communication skills to liaise with parents and update them on the children’s progress.
Hours:
1. The Manor Farm Nursery is open from 07:30-18:00 Monday to Friday, all year round.
2. The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 and up to 40 hours per week with flexible shift patterns.
