The Wirral University Teaching Hospital requires volunteers to support a multitude of functions across our sites. You may be deployed in any area of the hospital, according to demand.
From providing important administrative support or conducting patient and family surveys to gather valuable feedback, to being a friendly and welcoming face for our patients as a welcomer, or supporting our many different clinical areas, volunteers play a crucial and important role within the Hospital and are valued and key members of our workforce.

All required training is provided prior to starting any placement, with sector specific training delivered once you have started, and ongoing renewal.

The Trust has a variety of volunteer placements as described in the attached Job Description document and these will be discussed at the interview stage, when you can state a preference. We endeavour to match your personal skills and experience to a suitable role. You could also be deployed in a different role to support the Trust in adverse circumstances.
All placements will be made as soon as possible after mandatory training has been completed.
