HORIBA UK Limited is a leader in analytical and measurement instruments, looking for a qualified Commercial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is integral to driving financial efficiency and profitability across the business.
Role overview:
As a Commercial Accountant, you will be a key business partner to various departments, including project management, manufacturing, and sales. Your main responsibility will be to provide detailed financial insights and analysis to ensure that our projects and operations run smoothly and profitably. You will also play a critical role in enhancing the quality of our financial reporting and forecasting.
Key responsibilities
* Business Partnering: Collaborate with project management and manufacturing teams to analyse Bill of Materials (BOM) and direct costs, ensuring that any deviations from plans are communicated effectively.
* Financial Analysis: Develop customer profitability analysis and cashflow models to report on key business metrics. Work with Sales managers to improve commercial awareness and provide insights that drive margin improvements.
* Reporting & Forecasting: Support the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and CFO in preparing accurate and insightful monthly reports and forecasts. Enhance sales pipeline reporting and develop performance data for directors and managers.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify business issues that hinder financial performance and propose solutions to overcome these barriers. Participate in continuous improvement projects to drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and influencing skills, be able to build effective relationships, and have a structured approach to work.
