Payroll Officer
Are you an experienced Payroll Officer looking for a temporary opportunity with the potential to go permanent? Our client, based in Alton, is seeking a skilled individual to join their team. This role offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work with a friendly and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurate Payroll Services: Deliver precise payroll services to staff and members, ensuring timely and accurate compensation.
2. Expert Advice: Provide expert pay and benefits advice to all levels of staff and members across the organisation.
3. Compliance and Best Practice: Ensure compliance with pay and rewards requirements, continuously reviewing and improving service quality.
4. HR Service Plan: Assist in developing and implementing HR service plans and pay/benefit policies.
5. Year-End Processes: Handle payroll year-end processes, including P60 and P11d production.
6. System Efficiency: Regularly review and enhance the efficiency of the payroll system, collaborating with Finance to ensure accurate coding.
Requirements:
* Excel Skills: Proficiency in Excel for payroll calculations and reporting.
* Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities to interact with staff and members effectively.
