ABOUT THE ROLE We have an exciting new opportunity at Finisterre for a Junior Technology Assistant to join our Technology and Development team. This role will work closely with the Head of Technology assisting on the implementation and management of our full technical stack, supporting the ongoing business activities and planned growth and change at Finisterre. This is a great opportunity for someone has a passion for technology and is passion for technology and is eager to grow their skills in an innovative e-commerce environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Thoroughly testing any new functionality as it is released by our partners during updates and changes to guarantee smooth business operations as we develop and enhance our systems and integrations Coordinating the tech onboarding process for new employees with assistance from our I.T. provider, including the timely provision of necessary hardware and software to ensure they are set up from day one Managing the procurement of additional hardware to meet the needs of employees, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness in all purchases. Coordinating the offboarding process for departing employees to ensure the return of all hardware and the security of our systems and data Maintaining and updating the hardware asset register to keep an accurate record of all company devices Providing prompt and effective support to the Customer Service team in resolving system issues related to our platforms - NetSuite, Shopify, and Gorgias Collaborating with various departments to develop training materials for the systems we implement, helping employees to make the most of our tools and technology. Requirements WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FINISTERRE A passion for all things tech Experience working in an e-commerce company with some or all of the systems and tech that we use (NetSuite, Shopify, Gorgias) Experience using Microsoft Office suite, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience of testing systems and tech would be an advantage Excellent attention to detail Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills A strong commitment to learning about the key skills, deliverables and challenges of our systems at Finisterre and to deliver continuous improvement Willingness to own and drive your personal development plan, and open to asking for and accepting feedback on performance Good organisational skills with a structured and methodological approach to your work.
