Are you a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join our team at a mainstream secondary school in Watford.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and interactive Design Technology lessons to students of varying abilities (Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5)
* Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to promote student engagement and achievement
* Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing effective strategies for improvement
* Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver an inspiring Design Technology curriculum that aligns with national standards and the school's objectives
* Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a positive and collaborative learning community
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in Design Technology or a related field
* Proven experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level, preferably within a mainstream school
* Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Understanding and knowledge of the UK national curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for Design Technology and achieve their academic goals
* A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest educational practices
