️ ONYX Insight is a fast-growing technology and engineering business in the renewable energy sector. Their mission is to optimise energy production by making wind turbines more reliable for longer, using advanced sensing, software, and analytics combined with deep engineering expertise.
As Financial Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function, overseeing key reconciliations, managing intercompany accounts, owning the rolling cashflow, and supporting audits. You’ll be part of a collaborative and high-performing team, working in a business that combines cutting-edge R&D with a strong commercial focus.
The Role:
1. Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, working closely with the AP Senior Accounts Assistant and Global Billing Controller.
2. Own the 12-week rolling cashflow forecast, reviewing payment runs with the Financial Controller and CFO.
3. Perform key control account reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors, payroll, PAYE, VAT).
4. Review payroll across multiple international locations (UK, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Brazil) and manage PAYE and pension payments.
5. Handle the processing and reconciliation of expenses and credit card transactions.
6. Act as a key point of contact for auditors, supporting the Financial Controller during audits and posting any required adjustments.
What They’re Looking For:
1. ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience in financial accounting. They'll also consider someone making their first move into industry (with hands-on accounts prep experience).
2. Strong technical accounting skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
3. A self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
