We have an exciting opportunity for a Respiratory Specialist Nurse to join our Primary Care team for the London Region. This is a brand new role and you will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload in a unique setting.
The London region currently covers six sites including HMP Belmarsh, HMP Thameside, Heathrow IRC, HMP Pentonville, HMP Wormwood Scrubs, and HMP Brixton. In this role, you will be working across all sites with the possibility to work from home 1 day a week.
Hours
Monday to Friday - 9.00 to 17.00
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £58,025 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Respiratory Specialist Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Act as a specialist practitioner in the assessment and treatment of patients with respiratory disease (COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease, and Bronchiectasis) and collaborate with other healthcare professionals under the NMOC framework to provide the best care and support to patients and staff through an integrated approach.
* Conduct a specialist respiratory holistic assessment, to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of patient care including QoF, referrals to specialist pathways, and developing individualised treatment/care plans.
* Conduct Annual Long Term Condition (Respiratory) reviews in line with Health in Justice 7A indicators and service specification.
* Offer health promotion advice and support to patients with respiratory disease including smoking cessation where appropriate.

Requirements
* Current NMC registration as 1st Level Registered Nurse or equivalent
* Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and its application
* Assessor/supervisor/ENB 998 or equivalent training
* Degree/diploma or on pathway/equivalent
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
