SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
KNARESBOROUGH - WITH TRAVEL
CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT
WORKING HOURS: MONDAY TO FRIDAY

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting project financial reporting across all our sites, both regionally and nationally.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties:
1. Measurement and Take-Offs: Undertake take-offs and measurements in accordance with standard methods.
2. Risk Analysis: Conduct risk analysis and provide advice on contractual matters.
3. Variation Management: Identify, value, and agree on additional works and scope within projects, including preparing and agreeing on variations and quotations.
4. Contractual Correspondence: Prepare and manage contractual and general correspondence.
5. Notice Management: Raise and respond to contractual notices, early warning notices, compensation events, and variations, including client negotiations.
6. Cost Control: Manage cost control, comparisons against budget, and tender allowances. Prepare and update financial reports, including CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and commercial risk registers.
7. Interim Applications: Prepare, negotiate, and agree on interim applications, valuations, and final accounts with the Operations Director.
8. Commercial Support: Provide advice and commercial support to the project team on costs, contractual matters, and commercial strategies.
9. Subcontractor Management: Procure and manage subcontractors/consultants from enquiry to final account settlement.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/attributes:
1. Degree in Construction Management.
2. Working towards Chartership (desired but not essential).
3. Post-qualification experience on turnkey projects as a contractor.
4. Strong negotiation skills.
5. Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
6. Full UK driving licence.
