Job Role As International Business Development Manager your primary responsibility is to lead the expansion and growth of the Company's freight business across the North West. This role involves identifying business opportunities, cultivating relationships with customers, negotiating contracts, and developing strategies to enhance the Company's position in the freight logistics industry. Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement effective strategies for air and sea freight services. - Collaborate with customers to optimise freight routes and ensure cost effective shipping solutions. - Identify and target potential customers for freight services. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their shipping needs and providing customised solutions. - Proactively develop and maximise revenue opportunities and leads from pre-existing customers, networks, and agents by pursuing undeveloped areas. - Prospecting new business opportunities and consistently grow the gross profit and achieve revenue targets. - Work towards to achieving individual sales targets and KPIs and contribute to business goals. - Implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth. - Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements. - Close deals and secure contracts. - Collaboration with internal teams. - Conduct through market research to identify global opportunities and trends in international and freight logistics. - Analyse industry data, shipping routes, market dynamics and competitor activities. - Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to assess success of development strategies. - Prepare weekly/monthly figures of sales activity. Skills and Requirements - Proven experience in air/sea freight business development, sales, or related field - Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends - In depth knowledge of sea freight logistics, shipping regulations and industry best practice. - Strong negotiation and communication skills.
