We are looking for a committed and proactive Welfare Officer to join our team and help ensure that all pupils are supported in achieving their full potential.
Responsibilities Include
Foster strong relationships between families and WPT helping parents understand and fulfil their legal responsibilities around attendance.
Support parents in addressing barriers to attendance, offering practical advice and guidance.
Meet with parents and students to develop tailored action plans aimed at reducing absences and improving attendance rates.
Monitor and record outcomes, maintaining accurate and timely casework notes and records.- Undertake investigations in line with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 to support effective case management.
Prepare and provide evidence for court proceedings when necessary.- Represent the academy at child protection meetings and conferences, contributing to critical decision-making processes.
Ensure all safeguarding concerns are handled in line with academy policies and statutory guidance.- Track and analyze attendance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide regular reports and advice to key staff, ensuring data is managed with the utmost confidentiality.
Work closely with external partners and agencies to create a coordinated approach to improving attendance and ensuring alternative provision is effective.
Act as a key link between the academy and other organizations to support pupil attainment and well-being.
