One of my local government clients are currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Director - Data, Digital and Customer Services on a temporary basis. This is a 3-month minimum contract with the possibility of the role being extended further to work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Hybrid working role were, however, you will be required to attend the office 2/3 times a week. Overview/Responsibilities: Be the strategic voice of the customer: championing customer focus and strategic change to improve customer experience to provide ‘right first time’ solutions for Hackney’s residents, and influencing strategic decision makers and elected members. Accountable for all aspects of customer services delivery - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - ensuring that residents and businesses receive a high quality customer experience and their needs are met. Strategic leadership of the Digital Product and Delivery functions. Accountable for the development, delivery and ongoing improvement of modern digital services that support a high quality customer experience, enable efficient, joined up service delivery that supports the Council’s strategic move to modern, cloud-based digital services. Strategic leadership of the Data and Insight service, maximising the value of our data assets to fully understand the customer experience and inform future decisions about service delivery and strategic direction. Accountable for the delivery of the Registrars service, ensuring that accurate records are maintained for births, deaths and marriages, delivering a high quality experience for people using the Registrars service, and ensuring that the Council meets the statutory requirements set out for this service.
