La Fosse is are excited to partner with a globally renowned financial data and technology organization in their search for a Head of Data - Platform and Risk to join their London-based team. This forward-thinking company plays a pivotal role in empowering businesses and economies worldwide through innovative technology, reliable data, and advanced cloud-based solutions.
About the Role
In this key position within the Group Risk team, you will manage Operational, Financial, and Strategic risks for the division. This includes supporting the delivery of cutting-edge advancements in data solutions, analytics, A.I. applications, and cloud infrastructure. You will play a critical role in shaping the risk landscape for both day-to-day operations and transformative projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll help establish a strong risk framework that enables sustainable business growth while safeguarding operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee risks across data products, services, infrastructure, and future developments.
* Provide risk oversight for cloud platforms, data architecture, pipelines, and A.I. integration.
* Lead risk reviews, incident trend analysis, and assessments of emerging risks.
* Collaborate on Risk and Control Assessments (RCA) and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
Key Technical Skills
* Data Engineering or Data Science experience
* Experience of Cloud Database Management Platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric (Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory)
* Public CSP migration and adoption including application re-writes / re-factoring
* Technology / Cloud Architecture experience - ideally with transformation experience
Desirable Certifications
* Professional certifications in information security, risk management, and IT governance - e.g. CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA, and CRISC
* Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
* TOGAF certification.
