As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining some already well-established relationships in and around the North East of the UK in addition to new business generation. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will work as part of a team managing your own diary and be responsible for ensuring customers requirements are met.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Operate as the key contact for accounts within your assigned area/region.
* Continuously looking to maximise sales.
* Ensure allocated accounts run within the expected levels of margin.
* Be reactive to account issues ensuring you seek satisfactory resolution for customers.
* Targeted and strategic new business prospecting.
* Support customers with planning and development.
* New Product presentation and tasting.
* Host regular and structured depot and supplier visits with customers.
About you:
* Provensales experience within a similar business, ideallywithin the fresh food sector.
* Experience in hospitality and/or a background as a chef would be an advantage.
* Previous experience in customer care or client-facing roles.
* A solid understanding of supply chain processes.
* Strong proficiency in IT and digital tools.
