As an iPhone Hardware Engineering Program Manager (EPM) you will drive a multi-functional team of skilled Electrical and Mechanical engineers, and will use your solid EE/CE/ME background to recognize, assess and communicate cross-functional issues and risks. This will include planning and managing engineering builds to ensure validation of assembled product prototypes and/or stand-alone HW sub-systems like modules, flexible printed circuit boards or printed circuit boards. Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong technical background in either EE or ME. Mechatronics background is a plus. Detail oriented Experienced in setting up program/project schedules and work breakdown structures. Proactive and highly self-motivated with strong critical thinking capabilities Understanding of high-volume manufacturing processes OEM/ODM management experience is a plus Program/Project management experience is a plus. Experience with portable consumer electronics devices is a plus. Ability to travel - domestic & international (upto 35%) Description Lead multi-functional development teams and drive issue resolution for product prototypes and various HW sub-systems like modules, Flex PCBAs, PCBAs at engineering builds. Manage OEM/ODMs/build CM engineering teams to deliver quality service for engineering NPI activities. Be the primary point of contact with vendors and CM partners to establish a daily build plan, provide clear direction and guidance to meet the program and build objectives. Manage and track engineering development schedules and budgets Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks Drive deliveries and issues with global suppliers, integrate their work and schedules into the project, communicate status and the big picture to the project team & management As a HW EPM you will empowered to drive the day-to-day activities to meet the overall project objectives focusing on engineering development, planning and validation of a well-defined process but may be expected to operate in a loosely structured environment and be able to manage ambiguity.
