Dr Shimmins & Partners is a busy GP surgery in Dartford, Kent. We are looking for an energetic, dedicated, and caring Health Care Assistant to join our friendly nursing team. The successful candidate will be patient-focused and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
The HCA will be working under the direct supervision of our Nurse Lead and strictly in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols.
Ideally, you will have experience working in Primary Care; however, full training will be given to the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
1. Health Checks
2. ECGs
3. 6-8 week baby checks
4. Diabetic Foot checks
5. Basic wound management (essential)
6. Suture removal
7. Pre-filled vaccinations (B12 injections, pneumonia, etc.)
8. Clear and restock clinical consulting rooms
9. Ensure vaccines and cold chain storage monitoring and recording is carried out as per policies and protocols.
10. Help to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted.

* GCSE in English and Maths
* Qualified in Phlebotomy
* Qualified to NVQ level 3
