Position: Team Leader
Locations we cover: Melksham, Calne, Chippenham, Devizes, Trowbridge, Warminster, Westbury and surrounding areas. A valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is essential.
Salary: £12.30 - £14.35 per hour depending on shift + holiday top-up payments made for regular overtime (T's & C's)
Hours: Various shifts, 40 hours per week. Working alternate weekends is essential.
The role:
As a Team Leader, you will be working for an organisation that supports people in their day-to-day lives, helping them to enjoy the comfort and familiarity of their own homes while ensuring that their wellbeing and care needs are met, 24 hours a day.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Coaching and mentoring teams to deliver excellent quality services and care
* Carrying out regular supervisions for Support Workers
* Assisting with covering absence and sickness of the staff team
* Medication audits, spot checks, quality review, and supervising staff team to dispense medication
* Quality control audits
* Maintaining individuals' care records
* Completing both medical and general competency checks
* Participating in monthly team & team leader meetings
* Induction of new team members
* On-call duties and participation in the on-call rota, including alternate weekends

Essential skills for this role include:
* NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care
* Demonstrable understanding of the legislative requirements around care of vulnerable people
* MCA and DOLS understanding of the requirements
* Strong numeracy, literacy, and computer skills
* Broad knowledge of Learning Disabilities and other related conditions
* Participating in on-call is essential
