An exciting opportunity to specialise in the field of Pain Management Psychology has arisen for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist within the Central Persistent Pain Service at Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board (BCUHB) and will be directly accountable to the BCUHB Head of Health Psychology. Main duties of the job As well as providing psychological leadership within the service the post holder will be required to undertake clinical work within the Pain Management Service (BCUHB Central), working directly and indirectly with patients, families and staff members. Service development, audit and evaluation will be key aspects of the role, which will include working to develop the Clinical Psychology provision within the Pain Management Service (BCUHB Central). The role will additionally involve being responsible for the governance of the developing BCUHB Central Pain Management Psychology Service. It will additionally involve being responsible for the governance within the service and becoming the professional and line manager for more junior clinical psychologists. Supervision and support of non-clinical staff and trainees within the service will also be required.
