An exciting opportunity has arisen, Hays has partnered with a leading Property Managementpany based in Cheltenham. We are now looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support our client on a full time and permanent basis, in their finance team.
The working hours for this role will be, Monday to Friday, working from 9am until 5:30pm, including an hour lunch break and the salary on offer is up to £27500.
Your new role
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
1. Processing Purchase invoices, including the following:
2. Liaising with clients to resolve potential queries
3. Using Xero for the processing and invoicing of invoices
4. To uphold their invoicing system
5. To effectivelymunicate with the Accounts Payable team for paying invoices
6. Dealing with bank reconciliation
7. To record supplier invoices, payment transactions and credit notes
8. To prepare and process supplier payments, for example; BACS and cheques
9. Dealing with reports, as well as preparing ad-hoc reports as required
10. You will also monitor and report on aged creditor balances, identifying potential issues for management review
11. Supporting colleagues who are also within the Accounting and Finance team with general admin duties
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful candidate in light of the Accounts Assistant position, you will need:
12. Proficiency in Excel and accounting packages
13. Ability to uphold confidentiality of information
14. Goodmunication and interpersonal skills
15. It is desirable for you to have previous experience working in a finance department
16. Excellent attention to detail
17. Ideally, you will have knowledge of HMRC rules and requirements
