Job Title: Paint Shop Supervisor Location: Aldershot Employment Type: [Full-Time} Salary: £17-£18.50 per hour/ 39 hours per week About the Role Syntech Recruitment are working with a client who are seeking a driven and experienced Paint Shop Cell Leader to join theie manufacturing team. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee day-to-day operations within the paint department. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow, production efficiency, and quality control, while fostering a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Paint Shop team to meet daily production targets and quality standards. Collaborate with other cell leaders to ensure a seamless workflow through the department. Plan and optimize use of materials, labor, and equipment for maximum efficiency. Implement and uphold lean manufacturing principles, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Ensure effective communication of production goals, schedules, and priorities to the team. Monitor staffing levels and support workforce planning to meet production requirements. Carry out performance reviews, identify training needs, and support team development. Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping in line with 7S principles. Manage inventory levels of paints and materials, ensuring stock accuracy and BOM (Bill of Materials) updates. Oversee purchasing requirements for raw materials and consumables. Support budget planning and departmental cost control. Address day-to-day personnel matters, including scheduling, leave planning, and performance issues. Ensure all operations comply with internal quality and safety standards. What We’re Looking For Previous leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of wet and powder painting processes. Proven ability to manage and motivate a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies. Knowledge of health & safety regulations in a production environment.
