Job Summary:
To understand the essence and importance of hospitality within the Uniform
Room Attendant role.
Responsible for participating in all activities of the uniform room,
laundry room and club public and staff areas, to contribute to the smooth
running of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the highest levels of guest
and staff service.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth running of the shift at the Housekeeping
Department. Bringing to the attention of Executive Housekeeper any comments, any
other issues as they occur throughout the day. Maintain the highest standards
and where possible exceeding them. Looking after the Arts Club staff uniform
rooms, laundry room. Monitoring uniforms
stock and controlling dry cleaning service.
Main Duties:
Ø
To maintain and where possible exceed The Arts
Club standards.
Ø
To lead by example ensuring work areas are tidy,
neat, fully prepared for running of your shift and that a high standard of
personal hygiene and dress is maintained.
Ø
Make yourself familiar with The Arts Club
outlets, their opening hours and services offered to ensure correct information
is forwarded to Members and their Guests when enquired.
Ø
Ensure all sensitive information are stored
safely and discarded in appropriate way, in particular guest’s details and
records.
Ø
Ensure the proper handover is carried out
starting and ending each shift.
Ø
Ensure all work is completed by the end of your
shift; checklist and occurring tasks
Ø
To attend to any guest and staff problems
brought to your attention and report to Executive Housekeeper.
Ø
To communicate effectively with all departments,
to be flexible and assist colleagues where possible.
Ø
To liaise with other departments to ensure good
communication and to offer support.
Ø
To attend any department meetings, training
sessions.
Daily
Routine Duties:
* Taking care of staff changing rooms.
* Receiving/issuing uniforms to the staff accordantly.
* Ensuring that all uniforms are logged before sending
them to dry cleaning.
* Ensuring correct numbers of uniforms and correct items
received from dry cleaning.
* Monitoring uniform stock level.
* Monitoring uniforms condition level.
* Minor tailoring jobs: repairing holes, zips, button,
shortening trousers
* Issuing
uniforms for a new staff.
* Looking after laundry room and ensuring that all
equipment is in good condition, cleaning up laundry room.
* Washing cleaning clothes, hotel items: face towels,
bathrobes, net curtains and other items.
* Issuing cleaning clothes for cleaners.
* Report
all faults and hazards to the Executive Housekeeper or Manager on Duty, so that
* Replace all guest supplies.
* Carry out additional tasks during lower occupancy
times such as extra cleaning jobs in the club areas (public areas and back of
the house).
* Dust and vacuum public areas if required.
* Replenish and tidy up cupboards.
* Report any missing items from the housekeeping
areas.
* Responsible for looking after master key cards.
* Make sure all cupboards are tidy all the times and
locked.
Health and Safety:
* To be aware of and comply with safe working
practices as lay down under Health and Safety Act as applicable to your place
of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your work
place.
* The
wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the
Company will be obligatory.
* To report any defects on the building, plant or
equipment.
* To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests or
visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedure.
* To attend any Health & Safety trainings and
be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire, Health and
Safety
* To be fully conversant with COSHH regulations and Risk assessments for
your departments.
Occasional Duties:
To carry out any responsible requests made by Executive Housekeeper and
other management.
