Come as you are and be yourself Description of the Business Unit Jaja is a growing FinTech requiring an experienced hands-on Senior Fraud & Financial Crime Strategy Lead to join their growing team of Fraud and Financial Crime Specialists. Purpose of the Role The Senior Fraud & Financial Crime Strategy Lead is responsible for leading a small team of highly skilled Strategy SMEs to ensure the business and our customers are protected from onboarding through to their entire customer journey. The successful candidate will have experience in managing a team and setting priorities in a fast-paced environment and ensuring that senior management have visibility of all relevant information. Key Accountabilities: • Lead and manage the Fraud & Financial Crime Strategy Team • Liaise with key stakeholders such as Operations, Compliance, Tech & Data to ensure internal and regulatory requirements are met whilst seeing projects through from initiation to completion • Collaborate with Product, Commercial and various other teams to ensure fraud & financial crime prevention measures are embedded in new and existing products and services • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and industry bodies, attend relevant events • Provide regular reporting on fraud & financial crime KPIs, trends, and challenges to senior management • Ensure appropriate MI is in place to facilitate right level of visibility of the area to the business • Work alongside Strategy team to implement new systems, tools and strategies and maintain existing strategy in line with business risk appetite Essential skills and Experience • 5 year experience working in fraud & financial crime on both onboarding and existing customer side • Experience implementing and maintaining strategies and systems (Cifas, 3DS, Behavioural Biometrics, dedicated risk engines etc.) • Strong leadership and team management skills • Strong working knowledge of SQL • Analytical mindset, experienced in translating complex and technical topics for a nontechnical audience • A good understanding of KYC & AML regulatory requirements • Strong communication, time management and prioritisation skills • Excellent at working with rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment • Expert in fraud & financial crime typologies • Proactive, innovative, and customer focused mindset Desirable skills and experience • AML or fraud certification (ICA, ACAMS, CFE) • Experience using graph databases or link analysis tools (Neo4j, TigerGraph, AWS Neptune) • Experience using Tableau What's in it for you? • The chance to make a real impact in a growing start-up on a mission to change the face of the consumer finance industry forever. • Competitive salary • Remote Hybrid working model • Bonus scheme • Annual Salary Review • 4x life insurance cover • Optional private health care • Employee assistance program • Annual staff get together • 25 day holiday allowance plus UK bank holiday • Pension Contributions Fair Processing Notification The personal information we have collected from you will be shared with Cifas who will use it to prevent fraud, other unlawful or dishonest conduct, malpractice, and other seriously improper conduct.
