The Role: As an AI & Data Engineering practitioner, you’ll transform customer needs into impactful technical solutions.
Your mission is to unlock data’s potential by creating pipelines that ingest, transform, and enrich diverse datasets into reliable, actionable insights.
You’ll own deliverables and cultivate strong client relationships while delivering meaningful solutions through agile methodologies.
Collaboration is key; you’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to leverage data engineering tools, producing high-quality, standardised data for AI and reporting.
Additionally, you’ll design scalable data pipelines and storage solutions, coordinating with developers and engineers to address the needs of various teams.
Your expertise in data modelling and governance will establish the standards for consistency and quality across all projects.
Essential Requirements: British Passport Holder with active UKIC DV (Developed Vetting Clearance) Experience in ingesting, transforming, and integrating diverse data sources into structured assets through ETL processes and automated workflows.
Proficiency in distributed computing techniques (parallel processing, streaming, batch orchestration) for managing large data volumes.
Skilled in optimizing data systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and security, with knowledge of data governance and metadata management.
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end development of data pipelines across various tech stacks and data types (batch, streaming, real-time).
Strong systems thinking and architectural design skills for building scalable data solutions, along with expertise in data modelling and database optimization.
Ability to deploy and manage distributed data systems, ensuring effective monitoring and tuning for performance.
Proficient in coding with a focus on modularity and efficiency across multiple programming languages.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication skills to translate business requirements into effective technical data solutions while ensuring data security and compliance.
Benefits: Base Salary: £45,000
